Faridabad/Alive News: Faridabad Model School, Sector-31, celebrated SPORTS & APPRECIATION DAY on
February 02, 2025. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Major General S.K. Datt (Retd.)-VSM, FIMA, Ph.D (Veteran). Sh. Girraj Singh –Para Olympian, Dhyanchand & Bhim Awardee and Deputy Director Sports, Govt. of Haryana was the guest of honour. The distinguished guests included Mr. AK Malik- Managing Director, FMS Managing Committee, former Advisor to the President of Zambia, and former Commissioner, Cabinet Secretariat, Govt. of India, Mr. SS Gossain – Chief Patron HPSC, Rtn. H. S. Malik- Former Chairman CWC, Govt. of Haryana, Mr. Dhruv Malik- Entrepreneur, Chairman Venus Foods Pvt. Ltd., SR Tewatia, Raj Malik- Educational Counsellor and Founder Principal, FMS Sec-48, Shreya Malik- Asst. Vice President, Projects, IIT Kanpur, Academic Director Mrs. Shashi Bala and Director Principal Mr. Umang Malik.
The celebration started with lamp lighting ceremony. Major General S.K. Datt, chief guest for the occasion unfurled the school flag. Students showcased their skills through March Past and various dance drills where FMSians showed discipline, coordination and physical strength. The FMS founder’s scholarship awardees for the session (2024-25) along with other outstanding FMSians who have won at district, state and national levels were awarded in the glittering Prize Distribution Ceremony. Major General S.K. Datt and Sh. Girraj Singh congratulated the awardees and their parents and highlighted the importance of sports and extra-curricular activities for the holistic development of the students.
He also congratulated the prize winners and participants for their excellent performances and motivated them to become inspiring leaders in their respective fields. FMS Chairman Rtn. HS Malik, appreciated the excellent performances, blessed the award winners and guided them to be the torchbearers in nation building. He congratulated the FMS team for putting up such a spectacular event and thanked the FMS parents for their constant support and cooperation with the school. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
