Chief Minister launches registration process for Faridabad Half Marathon-2.0

Faridabad/Alive News: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, on Thursday, launched the registration process for Half Marathon-2.0, scheduled to be held on March 9 in Faridabad. To kick off the event, the Chief Minister personally registered online and encouraged residents of the district to participate enthusiastically in this grand event.

The event was also attended by Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Revenue and Urban Local Bodies Minister Sh. Vipul Goel, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Sh. Rajesh Nagar, Minister of State for Sports Sh. Gaurav Gautam, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh. Rajesh Khullar, and Additional Chief Secretary for Finance and Planning Sh. Anurag Rastogi.

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini stated that under the Haryana Uday Outreach Program, the message of a Drug-Free Haryana is being spread to the people of the state through marathons held across Haryana. To inspire the youth to move forward with renewed energy and a positive attitude, the Haryana Government is encouraging people to stay away from social evils by organizing awareness campaigns through initiatives like Rahgiri and marathons. He called on the citizens of the state to actively participate in this noble cause and contribute to realizing the vision of a Drug-Free, Healthy, and Prosperous Haryana.

While congratulating the people of the district for the Faridabad Half Marathon-2.0, the Chief Minister highlighted that this event has become an annual tradition for the city. He urged the residents to make this year’s event a success, just like the previous one, by participating in large numbers in the marathon, which is organized under the theme “Drug-Free Haryana.”

Deputy Commissioner Sh. Vikram Singh said that the district administration has begun preparations for the Chief Minister’s Half Marathon-2.0. Representatives from the Runners Club, RWAs, and various organizations will be participating in the event, with people from different age groups, including the youth, showing great enthusiasm. Former Minister and MLA Sh Mool Chand Sharma, along with other dignitaries, were also present on this occasion.
