J.C. Bose University hosted Inter-Institutional IDEATHON to foster Innovation and Creativity

Faridabad/Alive News: The Institution’s Innovation Council of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, successfully organized an Inter-Institutional IDEATHON – Innovative Project Showcase event. The event aimed to inspire innovation and creativity among students by providing a platform for them to showcase their innovative solutions and foster a culture of problem-solving.The event provided a unique opportunity for students to present their ideas and receive feedback from industry experts and academia. 

The program was graced by several distinguished guests who shared their insights and experiences with the participants Shri S.S. Banga, Industrialist, Social Activist, and Managing Director of Victora Industries, served as the chief guest. Sh. Rishi Pal Chauhan, Director of JIVA Group, was the guest of honour. In his address, Shri S.S. Banga emphasized the importance of innovation in driving economic growth and social change. He encouraged participants to embrace interdisciplinary collaboration by forming diverse teams and highlighted the value of combining different perspectives, skills, and knowledge to address complex challenges.

Mr. Banga emphasised on the Idea of “Make in India” and Bhagwad Geeta’s theory of 9 years for nation building. He conveyed his blessings to the participants.Sh. Rishi Pal Chauhan highlighted the role of entrepreneurship in fostering innovation and creating sustainable solutions. He emphasized the importance of creating solutions with a positive and tangible impact on society. He emphasised on the imparting value based education, traditional education and personalised education which is the core idea of NEP-2020.

He encouraged participants to think beyond theoretical concepts and strive for practical, implementable ideas. He expressed confidence in the potential of the participants to contribute meaningfully to the Ideathon and to the Society as a whole.Prof. Sandeep Grover, Senior Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor also addressed the program. He spoke about the university’s commitment to promoting a culture of innovation and research among students. Dr. Rashmi Agarwal, President of the Institution’s Innovation Cell, welcomed the guests and provided a brief overview of the program.

She highlighted the significance of such events in nurturing young minds and encouraging them to explore new ideas. She eemphasized the importance of fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the university and Stressed the Ideathon’s role in providing a platform for students to unleash their creative potential and develop practical solutions to real-world problems.Prof. C.K. Nagpal, Dean FIC, Prof. Rajkumar, Dean FET and faculty members from various departments were also present at the event. They actively engaged with the students, evaluated their projects, and provided valuable feedback to help them refine their ideas.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across various institutions. They presented their innovative projects through PPT presentations and prototypes, showcasing their creativity and problem-solving skills.In the valedictory ceremony, Prof. Sandeep Grover and Prof. Manisha Garg gave prizes to the winners. First position in the theme AI and IoT was bagged by Mr. Sahil and Nikita.

In the theme Product Design and Engineering Team Ankit Yadav won the Prize and Mr. Puneet and Mr. Dimpi got first position in the theme Sustainable Energy.At the event Dr Poonam delivered the vote of thanks, summarizing the key highlights and expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees.The Ideathon was successfully convened by Dr.Nikhil Dev, Convenor IIC, and well coordinated Dr. Rohit Tripathi and Dr. Ashlesha Gupta.
