Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, NIT 3, celebrated Philately Day with great enthusiasm by organizing a quiz and letter writing competition for the students of classes 8 to 12. The objective of this program was to promote the hobby of philately and effective communication through letter writing.
Students actively participated in the Philately quiz, testing their knowledge of stamps, postal history and philatelic terminology. Ishant of Class 10 secured the top spot, followed by Satnam Bhatia and Aksh of Class 9. In the letter writing competition, themed “The Importance of Letter Writing in the Digital Age,” students showcased their writing skills.
The event was to emphasize the importance of philately and letter writing in today’s digital age. Philately collecting teaches us about history, geography and culture. Letter writing helps develop critical thinking and communication skills. Principal Jyoti Dahiya praised the participants and said, “We are proud to encourage hobbies that enrich the lives of our students.”
