Faridabad/Alive News: The Department of Mass Communication and Media Technology at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, successfully concluded a 45-day internship program at Sarvodaya Foundation for the final semester students of Social Work. A special ceremony took place at Sarvodaya Hospital Sector-8 Faridabad to acknowledge the students’ achievements, with Dr Pawan Singh, Chairperson of the Department, and Dr Anshu Gupta, Managing Director of Sarvodaya Hospital, gracing the event as distinguished guests to present certificates to the students.
The interns were not only felicitated with certificates but were also rewarded with cheques for their hard work. In addition, accolades were bestowed upon the students based on the evaluation of their training reports, with Sahil Kaushik securing the first position and Fiona claiming the second spot. Dr. Anshu Gupta commended the students for their dedication during the training and extended heartfelt wishes for their future endeavours. Reflecting on the impactful work at Devashraya Animal Hospital, she emphasized the importance of advocating for voiceless animals and urged everyone to contribute to serving them at individual capacities.
During the event, Dr. Pawan Singh expressed gratitude to the institution and congratulated all the students for their outstanding performance. He inspired the students to embody good citizenship values and highlighted the additional responsibilities that come with being a social work student. Dr. Singh emphasized the significance of working towards societal welfare and expressed optimism for the continuous collaboration between Sarvodaya Foundation and the University.
Prof. Sushil Tomar, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, lauded the department’s initiative, envisioning a future where the Media Department, through its Social Work Program students, continues to lead in social initiatives for the betterment of society.
