Prime Minister will inaugurate Shri Ram Mandir, another Diwali celebration

Faridabad/Alive News: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal underscored the indispensable role of women in festival celebrations, saying that the festivities are incomplete without their active participation. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment through the initiation of several schemes aimed at enriching and empowering them. The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the Dhan Teras Mahila Samman Samaroh organized at Surajkundal today.

While extending greetings and best wishes on Dhanteras, Chhoti Diwali, Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj, Manohar Lal said that for the first time a Diwali fair is being organized in Surajkund, which started on November 3, 2023. Similarly, a festival will also be organized in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, till January 22, 2024. The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Lord Rama temple on January 22, marking another joyous Diwali celebration, he added.

The Chief Minister also recalled a significant initiative during the Hariyali Teej festival, where about 50000 women were presented with Kothalis. Continuing this tradition, women at the event will receive lamps, calendars, and other items as gifts.

Highlighting the collaborative efforts of the Central and State Governments over the past 9 years, the Chief Minister stressed the implementation of special women empowerment schemes at the grassroots level to ensure widespread benefits. As part of the celebration, the Chief Minister also honoured women.

On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Power Krishna Pal highlighted that the empowerment of women has remained a top priority for the Narendra Modi and Manohar Lad government. Numerous schemes have been introduced to foster economic, social, and educational advancement among women, aiming to enhance their overall quality of life. He emphasized the interconnectedness of women’s prosperity with the prosperity of society and, by extension, the nation.

Over the past nine years, the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Center and Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal in Haryana, has prioritized the empowerment of women, focusing on strengthening their social standing. Financial empowerment initiatives include the construction of toilets in every household, providing LPG connections to economically disadvantaged women, facilitating housing through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mudra loans, the opening of Jan-Dhan accounts, and the implementation of Stand Up India. These measures collectively contribute to the holistic upliftment of women in society.

On this occasion, Transport Minister Moolchand Sharma, MLA Mrs. Seema Trikha, Rajesh Nagar, Haryana Tourism Corporation Chairman Arvind Yadav, Principal Secretary tourism MD Sinaha, MD Neeraj Kumar, DC Vikram singh and a large number of women and other special guests were also present.
