Faridabad/Alive News: Manav Rachna International School, 21C, Faridabad has always taken the lead to bring forth for its students opportunities like none other in all fields of learning. Today the school hosted an Inter-school Competition for Kindergarteners – ‘The Sustainability Crusaders’. Over 50 participants from various schools participated in the event.
The objective of the event was to encourage students to start making sustainable choices on a daily basis, right from an early age, which without a doubt will grow into a deep rooted mindset that will prove to have a powerful and positive impact on our planet.
The competition provided an opportunity for the students of kindergarten, along with their parents, to participate and present their creation as ‘The 21st Century Junksters’, wherein the parent-child duo created a best-out-of-waste project; after which through their participation in the ‘Sustainability Sprint’, students understood the value of making sustainable choices on a daily basis.
Principal Seema Anis, urged the parents to inculcate the
habit of leading a sustainable lifestyle in themselves first and then the little ones because it is imperative that the future change-makers grow up with the right mindset, and do their bit to contribute towards taking care of the planet. She said that leading a sustainable lifestyle was the only way to ensure that there is a ‘tomorrow’, for which each one of us will have to do our bit today.
