FMS Organised ‘Police ki Pathshala’

Faridabad/Alive News : Faridabad Model School, Sector-31 organized “Police ki Pathshala” under the umbrella of the ongoing initiative “Haryana Uday”. Taking yet another innovative initiative in the direction of public welfare, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar launched ‘Haryana Uday’, a Community Policing and Outreach Programme. The programme aims at strengthening community ties and promoting better relations among the district administration, law enforcement agencies and the public.

‘Police ki Pathshala’ is a campaign to develop awareness in adolescents and young students about law, citizen rights and responsibilities. The basic objective of this activity is to empower each young citizen of the society to understand the basic laws and help prevent further crimes in the society apart from protecting
themselves.

The session was addressed by Inspector Incharge Community Policing Ms. Savita and Additional SHO Sector- 31, Mr. Umesh Kumar of Sector-31 Faridabad branch. The officials interacted with the students and guided them about safety and security related issues like- cyber-crime, women safety, self-defense and help line numbers 112 and 1930. They informed regarding various safety precautions followed by case specific administrative measures to be taken. The officials also enlightened the students on the ‘Consequences of Substance Abuse’ which causes a lot of problems, including academic difficulties, health-related issues (including mental health), poor peer relationships, and involvement with the juvenile justice system.

The session concluded with the address of FMS Director Principal Mr. Umang Malik who expressed his gratitude towards the police officials. He also reinforced the need for making the students informed citizens, develop respect for law in the youth, promoting life skills education among adolescents, create awareness about cyber-crime and safety of girls. The session was enlightening and very informative.
