Faridabad/Alive News: Sahil Kaushik, a student of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, has been selected to deliver a speech in the Parliament of India during the birth anniversary event of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. The programme will be organized in the Central Hall of Parliament on 9th May, 2023.
As many as eight students from different Universities across the nation have been selected for the event to deliver the speech in the Parliament. The event is being organized by the Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE) of Lok Sabha Secretariat with the aim to promote the participation of youth in paying floral tributes to National leaders on their birth anniversary.
It may be noted that the applications were invited by the Lok Sabha Secretariat through the University Grant Commission from various universities of the country for the participation of the event. About 25 students were selected in the first phase of the event and in the second stage which was conducted online mode; eight students were selected by the jury for the event on the basis of their speech on Rabindranath Tagore.
In the selection round, the students presented their views in different languages including Hindi, English, Marathi, and Bengali. In the final round, Sahil presented his views on how Rabindranath Tagore is a source of energy for the youth. Sahil Kaushik has given the credit for his selection to his parents and teachers.
