Faridabad/Alive News: Vice-Chancellor of J.C. Bose University of Science and Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, met with the contingent of University Sportspersons who excelled in various sports tournaments in different disciplines. In recent months, the University sportspersons have displayed outstanding performance in Kabaddi, Athletics, Volleyball, and Kickboxing.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tomar expressed his admiration and appreciation for the University’s sports contingent’s remarkable performance. He said that their outstanding performances had brought great honour to the University and inspired others to strive for excellence. He encouraged them to continue to strive for excellence and wished them all the best in their future endeavours.
Sports Officer of the University, Dr. Sunita Koak apprised that the Kabaddi team of the University won a gold medal and cash prize of Rs. One lakh in National Tournaments held at Andhra Pradesh in January 2023.
The Kabaddi team also won gold medals in the sports fest of JKL University, Jaipur, held in March 2023, and the sports fest of Bits Pilani, Goa, held in April 2023. Similarly, two athlete, namely Abhishek and Vijay, won gold and a silver medal in 100m and 200m race respectively, and the Volleyball team won a silver medal in the sports fest of Thapar Institute of Engineering, Patiala, held in February 2023. Two Kickboxers, namely Dev Prakash and Om Tewatia, won silver and a bronze medal respectively in the All India Inter University held in Jaunpur (UP) in March 2023. Also, they have qualified for Khelo India Inter University Games.
