20th Ryan Minithon concludes, 6000 students made programme success at Sports Complex, FBD

Faridabad/ Alive News: Ryan International School Sector 21-B which has evolved a leading position in education and sports as well conducted the 20th Ryan Minithon on 3rd December 2016 at Sector – 12 Sports Complex, Faridabad here today.

Around, 6000 students from schools of Delhi and NCR participated with full zeal. It was an amalgamation of students from various schools all over NCR on a common platform to showcase their sportsman talent. The event was witnessed by high profile guests Ms. Varsha Tomar (International shooter), Ms. Mary Masih (District Sports Officer) flagged off the race. The road race with the theme “Let’s run as a Team as Peace is our Dream” consciously intended at spreading the message of global peace. The road race provided a platform to young athletes to prove their mettle and be sports asset to nation. The entire aim of the event was to bring the masses on a common platform to propagate clean India campaign and make it a roaring success.

Meanwhile, in her message on this occasion  Respected Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto conveyed that every student has the ability to excel in his/her own talent and skills, provided he/she works hard and given right opportunity to excel. She said that Ryan group has associated with renowned sports officials for training and coaching of young students and students are winning laurels at state, national and international level such as US open, International Taekwondo, Football and so forth. There were competitors in age categories of under 18, 16, 14 and 12 years for boys and girls.  Cash prizes in each category were awarded along with separate prizes for boys and girls. Champions Trophy was won by Om Public Senior Secondary School, Ryan International School, Greater Noida earned second position and Third Position was bagged by Shri Tyagi Modern Public School. The closing ceremony was a cultural bonanza. It began with invoking Lord’s blessings. Dancing choir presented beautiful, soulful and captivating performance. Patriotic dance presented by the students was a tribute to the nation. It filled the air with feelings of patriotism for our beloved motherland. Dumbbell drill combined with Aerobics was a feast for the fitness lovers. Students presented various drills in colourful costumes using attractive props.

In her address Principal Ms, Anju Uppal congratulated the winners and advised the students to maintain peace all around, cleaner environment. Guests gave away the prizes and trophies to the winners. Achievers were elated to receive the prizes. Galaxy of guests for closing ceremony included Ms. Seema Trikha (Chief Parliament Secretary), Mr. Manoj Verma( Additional Commandant, CRPF)Mr. Umesh Arora (Director Faridabad Zonal club) Mr. Ashok Kumar Saini (District Sports and Youth officer) and Mr. Ajit Singh Patua (President, National Association for Blind).
